GUIDED TOURS / Royal memorabilia in the collection of the National Museum in Warsaw / Oprowadzanie w języku angielskim
Saturday / 1pm
A court fanfare, a throne canopy fragment, royal portraits, a gown worn by a lady attending a coronation... These are just some of the objects in the NMW collection connected to Polish rulers. How did they find their way to the museum? Who donated them? During the guided tour, we will visit artefacts in the Gallery of 19th-Century Art and the Gallery of Old Masters. The tour will end with the coronation mantle and regalia of Augustus III and Maria Josepha—the only such items in Poland.
