The richly illustrated publication accompanies an exhibition that presents the NMW’s most recent purchases, including works by such preeminent artists as Marc Chagall, Francisco Goya, Stanisław Wyspiański, Mela Muter, Wojciech Weiss, Anna Bilińska, and others. The publication also features an essay by the exhibition’s curator Piotr Czyż devoted to the history of expanding the collection one purchase after another, detailed descriptions of selected works written by curators at the National Museum in Warsaw as well as a full list of items purchased in 2017–2022.
