Prof. Jerzy Miziołek becomes the new Director of the National Museum in Warsaw

as of 30 November 2018, Prof. Jerzy Miziołek has become the new Director of the National Museum in Warsaw. He was nominated by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Prof. Piotr Gliński, on 23 November.

Count Feliks Sobański becomes the Patron of the NMW's Department of Coins and Medals

On Friday, 23 November 2018, Count Feliks Sobański Foundation and the National Museum in Warsaw signed an agreement on finalizing a donation towards the NMW’s Department of Coins and Medals.

The Department of Coins and Medals about to be refurbished thanks to the generosity of Count Feliks Sobański Foundation

After almost 100 years from the establishment of its Department of Coins and Medals, the NMW is preparing its first permanent exhibition. The new exhibition is scheduled to open in the first half of 2020.

Temporary changes in the Matejko Room
