The National Museum's galleries feature many portraits of a wide variety of individuals. During the tour, we'll see that a portrait not only captures the image of a person and tells the story of the era in which it was painted, but can also speak volumes about its author. We'll be drawn to the artworks as old as the Fayum portrait and the Faras wall painting. We'll also look in the eyes of people painted by Wyspiański, Mehoffer, and Olga Boznańska.
