We are pleased to announce that National Museum in Warsaw will be reopened starting from 4 May.

Due to the increase in the incidence of COVID-19 and the safety of visitors and employees, the National Museum in Warsaw will be closed from Monday, March 15 until further notice.

We invite Poster and Paper proposals from postgraduates, postdoctoral and other researchers working on subjects with a focus on Sudan (ancient and modern). Please submit an Abstract for either a Poster or Podium presentation before 31 March 2021.

Thanks to the program "the National Collection of Contemporary Art of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage", we have enriched our collection of 20th and 21st century art and Polish design.

Minister of Culture, National Heritage and Sport, prof. Piotr Gliński, appointed Łukasz Gaweł to the position of director of the NMW. Prof. Łukasz Gaweł was the acting director of the National Museum in Warsaw from December 3, 2019.

We are happy to announce that the temporary exhibition "The 1920 War: a Photographic Account" was extended until December 13! The National Museum in Warsaw is currently closed to visitors until further notice due to the pandemic.
